Description
It's that time of year, folks! PHB's Gingerbread Decorating Contest is happening Sunday, December 8th, 2024!

Please complete this form
https://forms.gle/QmdLAbuLkXTPrFSy9 to sign up your team and secure your decorating space in this year's event!
Grab your best decorating pals and come down for an afternoon of beer and decorating. Like year's past, we will host two classes and prizes for multiple entries. Winners will be decided by our panel of esteemed local judges based on the criteria scorecard. The nitty gritty below:
The Basics:

Max 4 people per team

2 hour decorating time limit (Check in begins at 2:30; decorating allowed 3-5pm)

Judging and tabulation to immediately follow decorating at 5pm; winners announced on site after decision around 6pm

Decorating kits will be provided by PHB! You can check-in and pick up a kit starting at 2:30pm (BIG thanks to the AuSable Artisan Village for letting us spread out into the gallery to accommodate the most teams!)
-

Traditional Class

Enter this class for a little friendly competition. No other items may be used to decorate other than PHB provided kits and edible additions. Great for drop ins and the average decorator.
-

Open Class

Enter this class for a little more cut-throat competition. That's not saying the traditional class is any less competitive, but while that feels like sugar, spice, and everything nice, the open class feels like snakes and snails and alligator tails (that's the rhyme, right?)
-
A few additional rules to follow:

You CAN bring extra edible decorations (ie: sprinkles, glitter, more frosting..)(just make sure it's edible)(non-edible props will disqualify you from judging)

No pre-assembly of completed features; must create show-ready piece onsite.

All features must be created from edible sources

You may still compete in the traditional class if you utilize your own add-ons if they are the same as items PHB is distributing, or up to 2 of your own single edible ingredients outside of the PHB provided portfolio.
