The MEDC will be hosting three small business owners who have grown their small businesses with the support of local and state economic development partners. From the ideation space to establishing physical locations within our Michigan communities, we hope you can take inspiration from the creators of Hidden Nook Booksellers (Grayling), Sweet Encounter Bakery + Café (Lansing); and Foster Coffee (Owosso + East Lansing). We will have the opportunity to hear first-hand accounts of scaling-up their businesses, understanding how they overcame challenges of breaking into a new market, and advice on why it's worth investing in your local community.
