Painting Trees with Terry Dickinson

Description

Being able to paint a convincing tree is essential to every landscape and wildlife painting. Painting a convincing tree is challenging. The classl will work from photographs and first sketch in pencil and then translate the sketch to a painting.

If the weather permits, we will end the session with a plein air painting.

Noted artist and teacher, Terry Dickinson can help.  Using his 50+ years of experience, he'll help you understand the underlying art principles that make a composition shine and stand out from the crowd. Then he will provide individualized guidance as you practice these principles to make your trees realistic.

 This class is open to all ages.  It is open at all stages of learning art - beginner to experienced.  Registrants only need to be able to remain engaged for the full class period.
