Description
DHD#10 Radon Presentation, January 14th from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
Join DHD#10 and the COA for monthly wellness presentations, starting with a presentation on Radon. Radon is a colorless, odorless radioactive gas that occurs naturally as uranium in soil, rock, and water break down. It is important to learn about radon because prolonged exposure to high levels can increase the risk of lung cancer, making it the second leading cause of the disease after smoking. Understanding radon’s dangers helps individuals take preventive measures, such as testing homes and workplaces, to reduce exposure and protect their health. This is one class of many in a health and wellness based series.
