Northern Michigan Children’s Assessment Center (NMCAC) exists to provide effective, immediate and sensitive support to child abuse victims and their non-offending family members. NMCAC provides a safe place where children have the courage to use their voices and offers a place where healing begins.  If you are looking for a place where you can make a difference in the life of a child, NMCAC is looking for you.   We are seeking an experienced and committed Program Manager to join our dynamic and innovative organization. The Program Manager supports the Executive Director in overall management, operations and programming. Education and Work Experience: Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, public administration or related field. Minimum two (2) years of staff supervision and program oversight required. Preferred history of working in the Human Service and/or Criminal Justice systems. Qualities Highly ethical Foster and develop a strong team and collaboration. Prioritize, complete assigned work, implement action plans and meet deadlines. Communicates with staff in a positive, constructive way to promote professionalism, team building, work ethic, and positive attitudes.   Demonstrates problem solving skills and ability to resolve conflicts. Respect and maintain confidentiality. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Day-to-day effectiveness and oversight of all NMCAC services and programs. Supervision of NMCAC staff. Evaluates the needs and effectiveness of services. Hiring, development and retention of the most highly qualified and diversified team. Provide effective job orientation and on-going training. Facilitate staff meetings and/or other departmental or organizational meetings. Conducts performance appraisals following organizational policies and timelines. Manages timesheets and PTO for assigned staff. Other: Must submit to a thorough criminal history background check. Must possess the ability to pass a fingerprint clearance. Must have access to a vehicle, possess a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance. Health insurance is available along with annual and sick leave. Salary is negotiable.
