ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

· Supplying the mill with logs from AJD Stumpage and Independent loggers.

· Buying timber from public (State) and private owned lands.

· Administering timber sales, working with the DNR and private landowners.

· Scaling logs and pulpwood (cord scale).

· Taking log yard inventory at the end of every month (last Friday of the month)

· Working with truckers to get wood hauled.

· Negotiating and setting pay rates with producers and truckers.

CERTIFICATIONS & SKILLS

· Minimum of associate’s degree in forestry or related field.

· Attain SFE certification

· Experience Preferred

· Ability to work in various weather conditions (rain, snow).

· Work well with others but can work independently.

· Good communication skills.

· Self- Motivated

· Quick learner must be flexible and be able to adapt quickly to different situations.

· Be professional while representing AJD.
