We are seeking a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator to move into a lead role coordinating the shipping of our automotive feeding machines and receiving of raw materials/product and customer test items into our ship for one of Northern Michigan's employers of choice - Air Way Automation. Primary Responsibilities: • Coordinate the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies, including international shipments • Track, trace, and update the status of incoming and outgoing shipments • Promptly unload trucks and deliveries and sort and stock receivables • Maintain an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately. • Engage with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude • Communicate updates and populate reports related to shipping and receiving to management • Loading and unloading of trucks • Build pallets; correctly place items on pallets • Prepare shipping documents • Maintain a clean work area. • Coordinate with Purchasing and Accounts Payable departments Qualifications and Skills Required • Forklift and Crane certifications or completion of certifications within 60 days of hire • Comfortable using hand tools and previous carpentry experience required for pallet building • Previous team lead or demonstration of leadership qualities preferred. • Basic computer literacy, plus ability and willingness to learn software applications • Good organizational skills • Attention to detail • Understanding of transportation shipping guidelines. Experience processing international shipments highly desired. • Ability and willingness to work overtime Work Environment, Physical Demands, Protective Clothing • Air Way Automation is a machine shop and production facility.
